Why we should take lecture notes?

Why students encouraged to take lecture notes during the class? What the benefits will students get when take lecture notes during class? Will we understand more detail when do this action? Here is some benefit when we take lecture notes.

How we take lecture notes?

Before we start to take lecture notes we must write date and time. Date and time are really important to know what is the topic lecture teach in class and our notes more composed.  It make us easy to revise lesson. We can use abbreviations and symbol in our lecture notes.

                                                                                                                                                                    Make three columns, main ideas,supports and examples. This columns can make the notes more systematic. It can also make reader do revision for final exam. Main ideas can be refer for the topic.
Support can explain more detail about main ideas. Example can make the reader understand more specific about main ideas. It will make us easy to jot down lecture notes.

What is your preparation before class?

What students should do before class? I think students should have some preparations before enter our class. Here is some suggestions we should do before attend to our class.

• Read the topic a day before class

• Write some notes for the topic

• Make use you have complete tools to take lecture notes
• Write dates and day on top of paper notes
• Have some space to added content in the notes

When instructor repeat some specific point,jot down to your notes.

Here have several ways. The "CORNELL" method is regularly used.

        We can lose 80% of information which are we hear in a several hours in the same day

        Make us understand more specific

      Make us easy to memorise

• Practice to improve your skills
• If you not understand ask your lecturer for explanation
