What's meaning of plagiarism?

An act of utilizing or closely following the language and thoughts of another writer without authorization and the representation of writer's production as one's own,as by not crediting the initial writer.

How to avoid plagiarism?

Here have two steps to avoid it . Firstly, planning and second is the definite writing when completed your assignment paper or report. 

Have preparation for your paper.

1.Ask for help to your lecturers
-If you have questions and do not understand well,you should ask your lecturer for understand it more detail

2.Plan your paper
-You have to plan your paper from other sources and with your own ideas. It will help you to make ideas which is balance from your ideas and other sources.

3.Effective notes should be taken.
-Before you start your writing,you should arrange the information. To prevent the confusion,you should use pen and pencil with different colour.Make your own ideas from the resources and make record for the books and web for the resources.

Writing your paper.

4.Point out the sources.
  -Citing is one of the ways to prevent plagiarism. If we not confident there are your own ideas,try to exchange some words from the sources which have same meaning.

5.Give the credits to the right person
-If you dicuss ideas from other person,you must identified the right person who are gives the ideas.

6.Paraphase to make your own idea
-Paraphase is change the words or active sentences to passive sentences without change the meaning of content. This thing can make you create your own ideas and avoid plagiarism.

7. Mention your sources
-After you have done your assignment do not forget to give credit to author for the books and web at the end of your assigned work.
8. Include your reference pages
-Mention your refence pages and make sure reference pages follow the guidelines of UiTM. Before you submit your assignment,you must check first. Refer to your lecturers to chek your assign work in turnitin to avoid plagiarism and editing your work to be more perfect.
